The carpet glue was still wet when we lit the very first event in the hall many years ago. Duluth Event Lighting has been lighting the Otter Creek Convention Center since it was first built. Duluth Event Lighting is regularly out to Black Bear Casino as we work closely with the Marketing Department on their monthly hotel lobby promotional displays. The large walls also provide perfect projection locations for other lighting gobo patters as you can see in our photo gallery from other events in the hall, such as Valentine's dinners and NYE / Halloween parties.
Because the room has such a high ceiling, a wedding monogram projected onto the air wall is a perfect way to add a personal touch to your lighting decor. Duluth Event Lighting places an up light on every other pannel for the big air wall divider.
Black Bear Casino is a perfect location for a wedding reception because you have a wonderful large space and an attached hotel for all of your out of town guests.
Most weddings take half the room, so we'll ask you if you are 'stage side' or not. The conference center is a large 17,650 square-foot multi-purpose floor space that can be broken up into smaller rooms with air wall dividers.
